“Deli­be­ra­te­ly focu­sed on the expe­ri­men­tal since its ope­ning, the Kamer 9 gal­le­ry, owned by artist-col­lec­tor Bau­douin Oos­ter­lynck, pre­sents the work of Chan­tal Vey, who here concen­trates on map­ped ter­ri­to­ry. The seis­mo­graph of her car­to­gra­phy weaves its web around a figure who has haun­ted her per­so­nal jour­ney for years : Pier Pao­lo Paso­li­ni. The work and life of the Ita­lian film­ma­ker obsess her dee­ply. One of her latest car­to­gra­phies concerns the novel Petro­lio, which she revi­sits for the 50th anni­ver­sa­ry of Paso­li­ni’s death, like an inves­ti­ga­tor sear­ching for connec­tions in a constant effort to unra­vel a mystery.”

Volon­tai­re­ment axée dans le champ de l’expérimental depuis son ouver­ture, la gale­rie Kamer 9 de Bau­douin Oos­ter­lynck, col­lec­tion­neur artiste, pré­sente le tra­vail de Chan­tal Vey, qui se foca­lise ici sur le ter­ri­toire car­to­gra­phié. Le sis­mo­graphe de sa car­to­gra­phie tisse sa toile autour d’un per­son­nage qui hante son par­cours per­son­nel depuis des années : Pier Pao­lo Paso­li­ni. L’oeuvre et la vie du cinéaste ita­lien l’obsèdent au plus haut point. Une de ses der­nières car­to­gra­phies concerne le roman Petro­lio qu’elle revi­site pour le 50e anni­ver­saire de la dis­pa­ri­tion de PPP, tel un enquê­teur à la recherche de liens dans un constant sou­ci de lever le voile sur un mystère.
