“Pre­mio In Ses­to. Il luo­go come arte” 2022 marks the four­teenth edi­tion of the com­pe­ti­tion prize 
taking place within the annual “Palin­ses­ti” fes­ti­val of contem­po­ra­ry art.
This year the prize is dedi­ca­ted to Pasolini. 
I’m hap­py to be part of the three artists com­pe­ting in the four­teenth edi­tion
, selec­ted by the cura­tor Miche­la Lupie­ri with the col­la­bo­ra­tion of Alice Debian­chi.

We exhi­bit our pro­po­sal for semi-per­ma­nent sculp­ture and rela­ted works,
 in the Antiche Car­ce­ri  from 29 Octo­ber 2022 to the 15 Janua­ry 2023.
The win­ner of the Prize will be selec­ted by a demo­cra­tic vote of the exhi­bi­tion visitors.

The pro­ject for the In Ses­to Prize :
“Vie­ni ad ascol­tare i fiu­mi del mio cuore” (Come and lis­ten to the rivers of my heart)
“For Piaz­za IV Novembre, Chan­tal Vey pro­poses an ins­tal­la­tion whose title is the first verse from Paso­li­ni’s col­lec­tion of poems in dia­lect entit­led Dov’è la mia patria (Where is my home­land), which also refers to the des­crip­tion of the Friu­lian pea­sant and wor­ker revolt in Il Sogno di una cosa. Hence the frag­ment ” […] sha­king the flag” which was, for the artist, the star­ting point for this new work, as well as the ana­ly­sis of the his­to­ri­cal and poli­ti­cal facts connec­ted to this Piaz­za and Paso­li­ni’s fami­ly and peda­go­gi­cal connec­tion to Friuli.
The ins­tal­la­tion consists of three flags, the vehicle of a per­so­nal and col­lec­tive his­to­ry, with which Vey invites people to cele­brate one of the grea­test thin­kers of the 20th century.
“Poe­ta delle Cene­ri (Poet of Ashes)” with a red back­ground, a sym­bol of rebel­lion, shows the ins­crip­tion and a por­trait of Paso­li­ni, an ico­nic motif in the artist’s research. “Ahi madre ! (Ahi mother!)” with a light pink back­ground, a sym­bol of love, holds a soft, pri­vate image where mother and child are uni­ted in an embrace. “Fan­tas­ma (Phan­tom)” has the only ins­crip­tion in dia­lect that refers to the loss of a youn­ger bro­ther. In this ins­tal­la­tion words and images are awa­ke­ned by the wind, poe­try plays the role of poli­ti­cal and popu­lar struggle, a wea­pon of resis­tance and an act of resilience.”

“Pre­mio In Ses­to. Il luo­go come arte” 2022 marque la qua­tor­zième édi­tion du prix qui se déroule dans le cadre du fes­ti­val annuel d’art contem­po­rain “Palin­ses­ti”.

Cette année, le prix est dédié à Pasolini.
Je suis heu­reuse de faire par­tie des trois artistes en com­pé­ti­tion pour cette qua­tor­zième édi­tion,  sélec­tion­nés par la com­mis­saire Miche­la Lupie­ri avec la col­la­bo­ra­tion d’Alice Debian­chi.
Nous expo­sons notre pro­po­si­tion d’oeuvre semi-per­ma­nente, ain­si que d’autres pièces en hom­mage à Paso­li­ni, dans les Antiche Car­ce­ri (Ancienne Pri­son) de San Vito al Taglia­men­to du 29 octobre 2022 au 15 jan­vier 2023.
Le gagnant du prix sera sélec­tion­né par un vote démo­cra­tique des visi­teurs de l’exposition.

Le pro­jet pour le prix In Sesto :
“Vie­ni ad ascol­tare i fiu­mi del mio cuore” (Viens écou­ter les fleuves de mon coeur)
“Pour la Piaz­za IV Novembre, Chan­tal Vey pro­pose une ins­tal­la­tion dont le titre est le pre­mier vers du recueil de poèmes en dia­lecte de Paso­li­ni inti­tu­lé Dov’è la mia patria (Où est ma patrie), qui fait éga­le­ment réfé­rence à la des­crip­tion de la révolte des pay­sans et des ouvriers friou­lans dans Il Sogno di una cosa. D’où le frag­ment ” […] secouant le dra­peau ” qui a été, pour l’ar­tiste, le point de départ de cette nou­velle œuvre, ain­si que l’a­na­lyse des faits his­to­riques et poli­tiques liés à cette Piaz­za et au lien fami­lial et péda­go­gique de Paso­li­ni avec le Frioul.
L’ins­tal­la­tion se com­pose de trois dra­peaux, vec­teurs d’une his­toire per­son­nelle et col­lec­tive, avec les­quels Vey invite les gens à célé­brer l’un des plus grands pen­seurs du XXe siècle. “Poète des cendres” sur fond rouge, sym­bole de rébel­lion, montre l’ins­crip­tion et un por­trait de Paso­li­ni, motif ico­nique dans les recherches de l’ar­tiste. “Ahi madre !” avec un fond rose clair, sym­bole de l’a­mour, ren­ferme une image douce et pri­vée où la mère et l’en­fant sont unis dans une étreinte. “Phan­tom” pos­sède la seule ins­crip­tion en dia­lecte qui fait réfé­rence à la perte d’un jeune frère. Dans cette ins­tal­la­tion, les mots et les images sont réveillés par le vent, la poé­sie joue le rôle d’une lutte poli­tique et popu­laire, d’une arme de résis­tance et d’un acte de résilience.”
